Modern Warfare III’s open-world Zombies mode plays very differently from a traditional round-based survival mode, and treating it the same way gets most new players killed before their first extraction.

Stick to Low-Threat Zones Until You’re Geared

The map’s threat level rises the further you push from spawn, and going in undergeared is the single most common way squads get wiped early. Loot the low-threat zone fully, armor, self-revives, a decent weapon, before pushing anywhere riskier.

Always Know Your Exfil Option

Unlike round-based Zombies, there’s no fallback safe room here, extraction has to be called and defended. Track exfil availability throughout the match instead of only thinking about it once things go wrong.
