Valorant Settings Guide: FPS, Sensitivity, and Crosshair Basics

September 7, 2026

Default settings leave real performance on the table in Valorant — a few adjustments to sensitivity, crosshair, and video settings make aim feel noticeably more consistent within a single practice session.

Sensitivity: Consistency Beats a “Pro” Number

Copying a pro player’s exact sensitivity rarely helps if your mouse, pad, and grip are different from theirs. Pick a sensitivity where a 180-degree turn feels controllable at your natural arm movement, then leave it alone for at least a few sessions before tweaking again — constant small changes make muscle memory harder to build than the “wrong” sensitivity would.

Crosshair and Video Settings That Actually Matter

A smaller, high-contrast crosshair color (cyan and pink read well against most maps) reduces visual clutter during fights. On video settings, prioritize a stable frame rate over maxed-out graphics — a lower, consistent frame rate tracks targets more reliably than a higher one that dips during fights.

Settings only get you so far — if your rank still isn’t reflecting your mechanical skill, our Valorant Rank Boost service can close that gap directly.
